3/27/2023 0 Comments Lethal league candyman deviantart![]() ![]() In Highlander: The Search for Vengeance a huge (and probably mutated) alligator lives in the canals in post-apocalyptic New York.Heat Guy J: As Daisuke and J look for Daisuke's bullet pendant in the Absurdly Spacious Sewers of Judoh in the "Circulation" episode, an alligator briefly surfaces near the boat that they are travelling in.It is considered a holy guardian, and the elf among the adventurers fearfully calls him a swamp dragon. Below the holy city in Goblin Slayer lives a mystical animal that looks like a giant, white alligator. It's a little hard to tell if it's a sewer or what, but during her childhood Sasasul of A Centaur's Life ended up in a big wet underground space and was confronted by a massive six-legged crocodilian. Not only because it relies on Absurdly-Spacious Sewer, itself a fictional and unrealistic trope, but also because there's just plain nothing to eat in a sewer, alligators (and crocodilians in general) need to bask in the sun in order to properly digest their food or else it will rot in their stomachs, and because such a creature would spend every waking moment immersed in human excrement, which would obviously be about as healthy as sharing an apartment with a Plaguemaster. Of course, this trope is entirely fictional and unrealistic. Many fictional works make alligators grow to gigantic proportions or become indestructible killing machines from all the chemicals (often growth and/or rage inducing) found in sewers. They are sometimes said to be albinos, like many real cave-dwelling creatures, due to living in a mostly lightless environment (even though cave-dwelling albino creatures are that way in real life due to having evolved to be that way over countless generations). ![]() Most of the time, these alligators can be an example of Never Smile at a Crocodile. TL DR: Easiest character to learn the game with, this is normal.Alligators that have been flushed down the toilet will end up living in the sewers down below the streets. I say 1/4 and not 1/5 because I expect some people will stick with him because it's easier to continue progressing with one character than branching out and experimenting with the rest, especially if they're winning games. You'll probably see Candyman mains drop down to about 1/4 once people try out all the other characters and choose one that fits their playstyle instead of just the one that is the easiest to learn with. I think I have about a 50% win rate against him in the hands of really good players. Go to the steam community chat, play a few rounds against the people there and you'll see a pretty even split of characters amongst them. I don't think Candyman is weaker or stronger than other characters, he's just the absolute easiest to get used to and play moderately well. A new player could not, for example, properly utilize Sonata or Switch's special at all in the same way a new player could properly utilize Candyman's special. I'm talking specifically about new player vs new player here, good Candyman players absolutely try and do specific angles at certain times in order to use the ability to the fullest. No planning where you're going to send the ball (Sonata), figuring out which other direction you want to send the ball (Raptor), setting up for an unpredictable spit (Latch) or timing a flipkick to return a ball at high speeds without getting hit (Switch), just fire 'n forget at some point and hope for the best That's incredibly easy to grasp and utilize. No wall-climbing, ceiling-skating, double-jumping or wall-jumping, just jumps really high. His movement mechanic is the easiest in the game by far. Sidenote: I wonder how many new players started up their first game with Switch, did an upward hit and went "WTF JUST HAPPENED?" His angles are pretty simple, and especially on a downward strike you can easily retake your ball at low speeds with little effort. I'm with Vertiguous here, Candyman is extremely newbie-friendly. ![]()
